{why e heart d?}

Taking a break from planning and crafting, I thought I'd do some explaining. Or in the words of Ricky Ricardo, some "splaining to do" about why the blog name "eheartd." Beyond the obvious fact that I do love me some d, the symbol carries more meaning for us. So much in fact that I am determined to make sure it finds a home in our wedding designs. Here is a photo of the invite design I shared to show you what I mean.

November 17, 2007, D took me on a date to the zoo. We had been dating for less than two months and had so much fun getting to know each other. We explored all of the exhibits - looking at monkeys, elephants, and tigers in the freezing cold. That is the day that this photo (that is in the blog header) was taken actually.

We laugh now because in front of us was a beautiful view of the mountain but instead this picture forever has the image of the lovely construction zone as a background instead. This photo is a product the self-timer mode and using a garbage can as a tripod.

At one point, we wandered through the interactive zone for kids. We walked in assuming that there was an exhibit but found instead found a table that was covered with paper and crayons. As we were walking out, I picked up a blue crayon and wrote "e (heart symbol) d."

Since then, e heart d has signed hundreds of notes, emails, text messages, and even a few pieces of art.
I'm so excited that something so personal to us will be included in our wedding.
