We picked a date.
Yep, for realsies.
We will be getting married (you can imagine a drum roll right here... I do) on...
Well.. let's explain first.
We decided that July was the safest month for good weather and since we are going tent-less (not to be confused with topless), weather is very important.
Since we live in Seattle, we're pretty much used to our weather looking like this:

Normally, come June we are all anxious for what sunshine and warmth Summer brings. June is hit or miss though. But by July, we get a little more of this:
Once we had the month figured out, the day got a little harder. This is what we had to work with:

Saturday is the safest day for us to throw a big party. It is the day that most people would be able to get off (especially with SUPER advanced notice) and Sunday is a day to recover before heading back into the work week. That left us with the options of the 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th.
The 6th is Dennis' ex-girlfriend's birthday so that one was out piece of cake.

The 27th is Dennis' mom's birthday so that one was out, too. Not to mention, my parent's wedding anniversary is 7/30 and we'd hate to have to share the time. (TMI note: imagine your parents "celebrating" close to your own wedding "celebration" - gross.)

So then it was down to 7/13/13 or 7/20/13.
Some people are superstitious but D and I are not. Heck, we already decided that we would be married in the year 2013 so why not go all out?
